Behind the Scenes: New Die Hard Movie Crashes 132 Cars

Director John Moore states that there were 132 cars that could never be used again and another 518 that would require quite a bit of work after the filming of the new Die Hard movie that is hitting theaters now. The Majority of the 132 cars that were destroyed were centered on one epic chase scene costing a whopping $11 million dollars. Not only were there some nice cars involved but there happen to be quite a few very nice Mercedes-Benz, most of them donated. Watch the Mercedes-Benz clip below featuring interviews with the director, stunt coordinators, and film team.

Bravery and Confidence

As millions of us tuned in for the big game and all its snack foods and half-time pyrotechnics, just as many people tuned into to the premier line up of million-dollar commercials.

This 60-second ad by Audi starts off with a deep, dismal sigh. A teenage boy is about to attend his high school prom alone. Embarrassed at the thought of going alone and the mocking from his little sister, this teenage boy reluctantly leaves with his head hung low, until… his father throws him the keys to his silver Audi S6.

Things start to turn around once the teenager catches those keys. With the roar of the S6, and the flash if the sleek head lights, a different tone sets in. A subtle smile and thumping bass lets you know he is in for a wild ride. His rebel attitude sinks in as he pulls up to the prom and parks in the principals assigned parking spot.

He walks into the party with lights flashing and the crowd dancing, then plows through to the middle of the floor to find the prom queen. He spins her around; the music comes to a stop, and gives her a heated kiss. The prom king sees this and comes after him.

The scene cuts to the teenage boy back in the Audi S6 with a shiner on his left eye and a huge smile. From the second he had the Audi S6 keys in his hands he became more and more confident. He turns what would have been a dreary night into something he will always remember. With almost 8 million views on YouTube, the Audi S6 Super Bowl commercial is a top performer this year.
